Recycling telephone directories
Telephone directories can be recycled too. In most areas of Australia, the Bookmuncher®
Directory Recycling Initiative allows old White Pages™ and Yellow Pages® directories to be
recycled in the same way as old newspapers and magazines. Old directories are recycled into a
range of products, such as kitty litter, housing insulation and cardboard products.
In many areas, you can put telephone directories out for kerbside
collection along with your other recyclables, or else you can take them
